Q : Can you repair TV led backlights yourself
A: No, TV led backlights must be replaced by a qualified TV technician. The lcd screen is very fragile and can easily crack or break and then the TV will have to be replaced.
Q: Can a damaged or crack LCD screen be replaced?
A: Yes it can, but the price of replacing a LCD screen is about the same as replacing the TV. The replacement screens are also not always available
Q: What information do I need to order or have a quote from Faerie Glen TV?
A: Unlike other companies we specialize in backlights only, so we don't require part numbers . On the back cover of the TV is a sticker with the make and model, just sent the make and model to our Whatsapp: +27 73 019 8515, and we will do the rest!
Q: Does Faerie Glen TV supply nationally across South Africa?
A: Yes, we are based in Pretoria Gauteng but distribute nation wide with The Courier Guy
Q: Does Faerie Glen TV supply single strips or complete kits?
A: We only supply full kits , but we also stock universal 32"and 40" that can be bought by the strip.
Q, Is it better to replace the complete kit or just a strip?
A: Best practice to replace the complete kit. A led has a curtain life span, and given the fragility of the screen, most reputable technician will replace the complete kit while the TV is open, to avoid taking out the screen multiple times. If one led strip fails the rest will follow shortly after.
